The holidays are officially over and it’s time to ring in the new year. 2014 has been a big year here at ASHLEYlauren; we can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store! But, before we head into a new year there are still a few things to do. Here are my suggestions to start 2015 off on the right foot.
First of all, make sure you have the perfect dress for the celebration. This is one of my favorite times of the year because you are allowed to wear all of the rhinestones and pearls you can dream of. I recommend style 4027 because it is full of sparkle. I also love 4002. I mean look at it… it was created for New Year’s parties. If you are attending a black tie event dance the night away in 1109 or 1053.
Next up, make a resolution and keep it. If you are looking to get bikini ready, make a realistic goal about hitting the gym. It is important to let yourself cheat, on occasion, and reward yourself for following through. Also, not all great New Year’s resolutions are about getting fit or eating better. It is important to be healthy from the inside out. In 2015 try to cut back on stress and make yourself and your happiness a priority.
The next step is something I started doing a few years ago and look forward to. Let’s do some social cleanup... I know it sounds silly. Go through your phone, Facebook friends, Instagram, Twitter followers and delete the people you haven’t spoken to in a year. If you didn’t communicate with this person in all of 2014 it’s time to move on. Start 2015 off fresh.
To complete your New Year’s party prep get an over the top manicure. Find a style you’ve been wanting to try but thought it was too much for work or dinner and go for it. My recommendation… negative space. I’m loving this new trend. Remember no manicure is too much for New Year’s. (Unless you’re still rocking that red snowflake from two weeks ago… sorry ladies)
Last but not least: pick up a bottle of bubbly. At the ASHLEYlauren office we recommend Moet Rose Champagne. You won’t be disappointed.
